🌞 9:00 – 9:15 AM – Morning Routine Calendar, weather, days of the week, and question of the day.

Morning Routine

Our morning routine helps children start their day with structure and engagement. During this time, we review the calendar, discuss the weather, practice the days of the week, and participate in a “question of the day” to encourage communication and critical thinking. This routine builds confidence, promotes learning, and prepares children for the day ahead.

👥 9:15 – 9:30 AM – Circle Time

Circle time is a structured group activity where children come together to engage in learning through songs, discussions, and interactive activities. During this time, children build social skills, practice listening, and participate in lessons that support language, early learning concepts, and group interaction in a fun and engaging way.

📚 9:30 – 9:40 AM – Reading Time

Reading time is a dedicated period where children are introduced to books and storytelling in a calm and engaging setting. During this time, children listen to stories, explore books independently, and develop early literacy skills such as vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for reading. Reading time supports language development, imagination, and a strong foundation for future learning.

9:40 – 10:00 AM – Exercise / Movement Time

Exercise and movement time provides children with opportunities to stay active while developing coordination, balance, and overall physical health. During this time, children participate in activities such as dancing, stretching, guided movement, and fun group exercises. This helps improve motor skills, release energy, and promote healthy habits, while also supporting focus and readiness for learning throughout the day.

🍎 10:00 – 10:15 AM – Morning Snack

10:15-10:30 AM-Large Group

Large group is a time when all children come together for a teacher-led activity, such as circle time, storytelling, or music. It focuses on building social skills, listening, and participation while introducing learning concepts in a structured group setting.

10:30-11:00AM-Learning Time

Learning time is a structured part of the day focused on intentional teaching and skill development. During this time, children engage in hands-on activities such as early literacy, math, art, and problem-solving, guided by the teacher. It supports cognitive growth, creativity, and independence while allowing children to explore concepts at their own pace in a supportive learning environment.

11:00-12 Noon-Choice Time

Choice time is a period during the day when children are given the opportunity to select their own activities based on their interests. During this time, they may choose from different learning areas such as blocks, dramatic play, art, books, or sensory activities. Choice time supports independence, decision-making, creativity, and social interaction, while allowing teachers to observe, guide, and support each child’s individual development in a more relaxed and engaging environment.

Time for lunch, growing strong, one bite at a time!

12 Noon-Lunchtime

Lunchtime is a time for nourishment, learning, and connection. Children are served well-balanced, nutritious meals that support healthy growth and development, including a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains. Mealtime also encourages independence, positive social interaction, and good table manners, creating a warm and structured environment where children can enjoy their food while building healthy habits.”

NapTime

1:00-3:00 PM-Naptime

As we prepare for naptime at Beautiful Blessings Childcare, children transition into a calm and structured routine. This includes using the restroom, washing hands, and practicing good hygiene such as brushing teeth when appropriate. Children are then guided to their rest areas where they settle in with their blankets and mats. Soft lighting and a peaceful environment help promote relaxation, allowing children to rest their bodies and recharge for the remainder of the day.

3:00-3:30 PM-Free Play

Free play is a child-led time where children are encouraged to explore, create, and engage in activities of their choice. During this time, they build social skills, imagination, and independence while interacting with peers and using a variety of toys and learning materials. Free play supports creativity and allows children to learn through hands-on experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
